We are thrilled to report on the successful ATLANTIS Large-Scale Pilot #3 (LSP#3) Open Day, which took place in Barcelona last Tuesday, September 9th. Hosted by our partners at CaixaBank and CaixaBank Tech, the event was a major milestone for the project.
The day brought together over 30 attendees, including cybersecurity experts, financial sector representatives, and technology partners from 11 external organizations and 7 ATLANTIS consortium partners.
The main objective was to present the results and lessons learned from our pilot, which is focused on strengthening the resilience and business continuity of the financial sector against systemic risks and cross-border cyber threats.
Attendees witnessed live demonstrations of the ATLANTIS framework tackling critical, real-world scenarios, including:
🔹 Countering Disinformation: We showcased how our tools analyze social media and news in real-time to detect threats like deepfakes and sentiment manipulation, helping to protect market stability.
🔹 Detecting Network Intrusions: A demonstration on how the ATLANTIS framework identifies unusual activity within a bank’s network, correlates it with other threats, and recommends mitigation steps to prevent sensitive data leaks.
🔹 Protecting Critical Infrastructure: We presented an AI-based solution that detects GNSS (GPS) signal jamming in real-time to safeguard time-critical operations, such as trade timestamping, from disruption.
🔹 Ensuring Operational Continuity: A simulation of how to maintain operations during a supplier outage (e.g., electricity). The system identifies cascading risks across ATMs, offices, and payment systems, suggesting actions to keep services running.
The engagement was fantastic, leading to fruitful discussions and invaluable external feedback on the challenges and applicability of the ATLANTIS tools. This will be crucial for the future exploitation of our results.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed, and especially to our hosts at CaixaBank and CaixaBank Tech for organizing such a productive and insightful event!Â
